Hi !
when installing sqlserver 2000 on a Windows 2003 server it explicitly
tells "server not compatible with Windows 2003" during install, but it
can carry on.
After we applied serfice pack 3a then the db server seems to run
normally, but does it risk to behave randomly afterwards ???
Is sqlserver 2000 standard edition compatible with Windows 2003 server
?
Or does it exist a specific sqlserver edition for Win2003 ?

My main dev machine has WinXp and VS2005 (pro).
1. I need to install VWD Express Edition so that I can do some instruction
on this. Any issues with both on the same machine. Installation order?
2. Does VWD Express Edition support the idea of Solutions? I coun't figure
out how to create a blank solution which I usually do with VS2005 (and then
add my web site to the solution.)

I've been playing around with VB since version 3. I now have VB6 Learning
Edition. I'm thinking about getting VB.NET Express Edition. I have a lot of
demo programs for version 3 thru version 6. I realize that the convertor
might not be able to convert the source code on the older demos. I would have
to open every demo program in version 6 & save it in the VB6 format & then
open the source code in VB.NEt & convert to VB.NET. I've read...

I was told that SqlServer express should get installed when VS2008Pro is
installed (that is it is on the same DVD).
I had a couple of errors during vs2008's installation and I don't see any
signs of sqlserver.
Is SqlServer Express suppose to get installed when VS2008 Pro is installed?
Or should I download SqlServer and installed it that way?

I installed SQL Server 2008 Express, basic edition (SQLEXPR32_x86_ENU_Bootstrapper.exe, version 9.0.30729.1) without any problem.
Then I attempted to install AdventureWorks Sample Databases for SQL Server 2008 (SQL2008.AdventureWorks_All_Databases.x86.msi). This attempt failed because SQL Server 2008 Express, basic edition doesn’t support Full-text Search, which AdventureWorks requires.
So I uninstalled SQL Server 2008 Express, basic...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,

I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
