System.Media.So undPlayer and sound speed

Hello,

Is it possible to play wav files slower or faster than the default speed of
the SoundPlayer
class does?

I'm writing a small tool for guitarplayers and one feature would be a
possibility to play
Guitar riffs and solos in slower speed.

Can anyone give any tips how to handle this kind of issue using C# 2.0.

Cheers J

Can someone please point me in the right direction as to how to play system sounds and/or WAV files from a VS.Net 2003 application. I can find plenty of info about how easy it is with VS2005, but from VS.Net 2003 I can only find the Windows Multimedia article about the Statement: PlaySound("MouseClick", NULL, SND_SYNC). But how do I use this statement? With thanks Dave

Hi again, I have run into a problem with the System.Media.Soundplayer class, notably the Play method. The sound that plays gets garbled about 50% of the time, usually at the end, when it finishes with white noise or a high pitch noise. If I use PlaySync it plays it fine. I COULD create a thread and execute the Play method via the thread, but that leaves me with the problem of stopping the sound. Terminating the thread doesn't kill the...

I have the latest version of Visual Studio 2008 Professional, which allows you to create resource files (this is the .resx file, no?), unlike the Express version, which does not. I am trying to cut and paste code that MSDN recommends for playing a simple wav file from inside an embedded file, like presumeably the 'resources' file .resx is. I want to embed the .wav file in a 'resource file' since I don't want the user storing the file on...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
