Hello, If I want to update data displayed in a datagrideview/datagridview cell, how can I determine what cell I am updating? I am looking at the click event below, for example. Can I get information from the sender object or the EventArgs? How? Private Sub DataGridView1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles DataGridView1.Click Console.WriteLine("row number of cell is ?")

In a datagridview, the first column header cell is columnHeader(0), which is immediately to the right of the Top Left Corner Select All cell. And the first RowHeader cell is RowHeaderCell(0) which is immediately below the Top Left Corner Select All cell. When clicking on the Top Left Corner SelectAll cell, which selects all the Rows/columns in the datagridview, the only event that appears to fire is the SelectionChanged event. But that...

Hi All, I'm relatively new to vb .net and am probably making a simple mistake and would appreciate any help. I have a tab control with 4 tabs. Each tab has a DataGridView and I'm populating all 4 of them from a SQL Server db via code. The data comes from multiple tables via a UNION. The leftmost column in each DataGridView should be a checkbox which I'm creating like this: Dim grdCheckBoxColumn As New DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn...

When viewing a datatable in a datagridview one of the columns in it is a "note" field which can be quite long. I would like to have the note field of the currently selected row of the datagrid display in a textbox below the datgridview. I currently have it fixed so if you click on a row the note field from that row is put in the textbox. I'd like this to be automatic as they move through rows. Also the note field is one of two fields...

I have a log viewer. I sort the DataGridView by the Time Column and then run a function to set all cell backcolors depending if the cell above is different. This works correctly, however, when I resort a column (by clicking any of the column headers) then all the colors revert back to the origional white background. Is there a way to have the DefaultCellStyle for each cell follow the value/cell on sort?

I'm trying to make a datagridview column to act like a datetimepicker column (C#.Net 2005). These are the behaviours that the dgv should have: 1) Initially all the cells of the dtp column should be blank unless they are filled by the user. 2) As soon as the user enters a cell, the dtp control should appear as the editing control of that cell. If there's a value in the cell beforehand, that value is set as the value of the dtp editing control...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
