NUnit GUI Runner - Trace Output and Internal Trace??

In NUnit GUI Runner I see two tabs like 'Trace Output' and 'Internal
Trace'.

Obviously these are used for some kind of tracing.

How can I turn on or user these tracing features?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Where about to start using Unit Testing for dotNet. I have experimented with the NUnit framework and have the following question: According to the documentation of NUnit , using the console it should be possible to redirect the output to a file using the /out commandline switch, like /out:filename.txt

Hi, all. I've know NUnit for a while, now I try to use it. Most of application I develope is data base driven. I want to test data layer most with may input and checking the result, then compare with database if it returns right value or not. To do so, I need to save all inputs and results as development, debugging goes on.. But, NUnit doesn't seem to support it. and It require wrong Test coding.

Hi, has anybody thought of / already used graphviz to convert the output of trace.py into a graph? I looked at PyUMLGraph, but 1. PyUMLGraph does not successfully create a dot file, and 2. I don't really want a UML representation but a compact representation of program execution. Maybe there is some other tool that I am not aware of which can create this kind of trace. I use eclipse with pydev plugin on MacOS 10.3.9

I have an NUnit test plan with well over 500 tests. I now need to produce a test plan document for these tests - documenting them one by one with Word is a painfull task. I was thinking that there must be a automated way of doing this - maybe by using NDoc (although available formats don't seem particilariy suited)? Ideally the test plan would be produced with a section for every test

Hi, I have a DLL project that implements the Model/Controller part of MVC, and the client of the DLL would be the View. The interface the View consumes is the Controller API, and the Model is marked internal, b/c the View shouldn't need to get at it, but this means I can no longer test the Model unless my NUnit tests exist inside the DLL project. This has the unwanted side-effect of having to deploy nunit.framework, nunit.core along...

Assume .NET 1.X and VS 2003 with NUnit. If you put the unit tests in a different project, you can't test private or internal methods or classes. We could put our unit tests in the same project, but it would be nice to put them elsewhere. Are there work arounds for this issue? Thanks in advance. Mark

I have created a file, called nunit_project_name.dll.config, within the bin folder of my Nunit project, but Nunit is not able to find the file. Is this is the right location? I can access the proper connection string if I put in in the machine.config file, but obviously this is not the best choice. I must be putting the file in the wrong dir, but I have tried pretty much every location that I can think of. Help would be greatly...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
