Moving the drawing origin to the bottom left corner

I have spent hours through newsgroups and googling but I am at a loss
how to move the drawing origin from the top left corner to the bottom
left corner and have Y values increase towards the top.

All the stuff I find shows stuff like this:

private void Form1_Paint(obj ect sender, PaintEventArgs e)
{
Graphics g = e.Graphics;
Pen pen = new Pen(Color.Blue) ;

Matrix mm = new Matrix();
mm = new Matrix(1, 0, 0, -1, 0, 0);
g.Transform = mm;

g.DrawLine(pen, 0, 0, 100, 100);
}

But nothing gets drawn. What am I missing?

Thanks
Johann

I want to create a scrollable window using GDI+ where the origin is located in the bottom-left corner rather than the default top-left corner. Currently I have found several examples on how to scroll the window and even how to set the drawing origin at the bottom-left corner. What I have not been able to accomplish is doing both of these simultaneously. I cannot find any code examples that show how this is done. When I attempt it,...

I'm using GraphicsPath to draw text onto a graphics object (PictureBox). My graphics object has been scaled so that the top left corner is 400000, 6000000 and the bottom right corner is 400100, 5999900. If I draw text directly to the graphics object using DrawString then the text comes out fine, however If I first add my string to my GraphicsPath then use the FillPath method of the graphics object the same text is displayed with very poor...

I'm trying to create a visual aid program to mimic a VIPP layout. In VB.NET the screen origin (0,0) is the top left hand corner of the screen. Is there a way to reset the origin to the bottom left hand corner? What I would like to do is place a frame on the form. The frame will represent the "Paper" and the paper's origin will be at the bottom left hand corner (0,0). I will help resetting the origin inside the frame also. -- Mark

I have a logical drawing space much bigger than the viewport (the screen) and I'd like to center the viewport (the screen) to be at the center of the logical drawing space. After following the excellent transforms specified on Bob Powell's site, I still wonder if there's an easier way of centering it than the following procedure? Here is what I do now (it's awkward but it works): 1) I follow the transforms specified on Bob Powell's...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
