Load MFC DLL from C# web service...

Hello,

I'm having problems loading my MFC exported function from my C# Web
service. I'm using the DllImport to load the dll and declare the
function like the following:

[DllImport("MyDL L.dll")]
public extern static int MyFunction();

and in the MFC dll it is exported like the following:
__declspec(dlle xport) int MyFunction();

When I try to run the web service that makes the call to MyFunction I
get a "Unable to Load DLL" error - what all am I missing? Is their
anything special I need to be doing for loading an MFC Dll from a C#
Web Service?

Thanks,
Greg

Okay, I have two identical web servers running Windows 2003 web server. I have an ASP.NET application which runs great on one of them. Dedicated IP address, behind our firewall, etc. Everyone's happy. Now -- how do I take advantage of that second computer to "load-balance" the web site? Will it really give my users a noticable performance increase? How do you accomplish this? I've read many of those MS articles and it's...

When running my asp.net hosting service (asp.net without IIS), on server 2003 with IIS not installed, I get the following when trying to process a request. "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (aspnet_isapi.dll)." Of course the dll is able to be found, it's still in the framework directory and for grins I even put it in my service's local directory. This is apparantly server 2003 not allowing asp.net to be run if IIS was not...

Hi, I am having a problem with SQLXML Bulk Load inside of a web service ( also inside of a basic aspx page). I have a WebMethod in a web service that makes a call to bulk load. This works perfectly on my local test machine (it has VS 2005, SQL Server 2005 Ent, SQLXML 4.0 Libs and standard XP SP2 IIS) also for reference the same code works perfectly on a basic one page aspx file (with code behind). However when this web service or...

Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good HTTP load testing tool which can: 1. Simulate user interaction with a web site 2. Handle ASP.NET forms authentication login 3. Make random web service calls (and hopefully is compatible with WSE)? Any good testing tools I should look at?

So we have moved our app from .NET version 2.X in IIS6 to a Windows 2008 Server running IIS7. We have copied all files to the Windwardreports\apps directory and that apps directory has been converted to an application running in ..NET 2.X and Integrated mode. We copied over the DB and edited the web.config file to the DB username and password. I also added the NETWORK SERVICE user to the DB.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
