Hello there...
I am trying to link to my access db on my server over the internet.
My Administrator told me that I need to create a shared drive which is
accessing the db server via ftp.
So I created the link to my ftp server without problems.
In the explorer I can access now my ftp drive, but I cant link it to a

multiple Access 2000 databases. The problem occurs when the reference
path is changed to a UNC path. This happens when maintenance is
performed on the databases, the path changes from a drive letter to

I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has
many Access reports.
I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command
button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a
pdf file and save it to the user's machine.

Hi,
I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've
created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this
DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is
running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything
is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not
logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer.

I am experiencing difficulty access a mapped network drive in an ASP.NET
application.
While using the .Net framework v 1.1 implementation of
System.IO.Directory.Exists(), it fails to recognize a mapped network drive.
This is true if the path specified uses a mapped drive letter or is
expressed as a UNC address. I have also tried the drive letter and UNC
paths with and without trailing backslashes, respectively.

I have a test server runinng 2003/IIS 6 with a mixture of asp and asp.net
files. On my workstation I have a share set up to the folder where the web
files reside. I am just doing quick and dirty asp editing (like I used to be
able to do with 2K/IIS5) where I use VS.NET, open an asp file, make changes,
save and refresh my browser.
Problem is that I get an Access is Denied error when I try to save the file
and then the file gets wiped on...

hi,
i want to write an application who can acces a disk/partition in
windows xp. I know how to do that if the disk/partition has a drive
letter. But in this case the disk has no driveletter and is in that
case for normal users invisible in windows xp.
i've searched the internet but i don't know where to look and i don;t
know how to describe my problem.
