what does the condition property in the file system do?

Hi

I have been trying to establish how I can prompt a user for some responses
that will tailor actions in deployment.

I am using vs2005 and using the setup and deployment project.

I worked out that I need to use the user interface editor and to add a check
box . However when I have added a checkbox and when i use the value
returned by the checkbox as the condition in the file system editor, it
apprears like the condition is disregarded. I am confused about how to make
this work. I have tried various combinations of conditions but cant get
this to work. I must be doing something wrong - but can't figure it out.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey I seem to have a solution to this. If you add an additional shortcut in
the application folder and make each of these to be linked to different
conditions, then it works. Strange - but it works.

This is something I've been looking at because it is central to a currently broken part of the KDevelop new application wizard. I'm not complaining about it being broken, It's a CVS images. Such things happen. The whole subsystem is going through radical changes. I don't really want to say what I think of the code just yet. That would influence the opinions of others, and I really want to know how other people view these things,...

I was just dropped into someone else's code (isn't that always so fun?). I can't figure out why a custom validation control's server event function is executing. There is nothing (that I see) in page_load, or elsewhere, that says page.validate, no control says "causesvalidation=true", and the AutoEventWireup is set to false. So I would think that the control's server event function would NOT execute, but it does execute right after...

I have a second thread in which I call t.abort() from the parent thread. I see "t"s state as AbortRequested. It stays this way for some time. Under which conditions will a thread remain this way? The sub procedure that "t" calls is an inifite loop with code inside. Near the end of each interation, this sub() will call currentthread.sleep(x). That works fine. I imagine the parent thread can't abort the child thread, "t", until the...

in March, i posted a essay “What is Expressiveness in a Computer Language”, archived at: http://xahlee.org/perl-python/what_is_expresiveness.html I was informed then that there is a academic paper written on this subject. Hello everyone, I have a newbe question: In Access (2003) VBA, what is the difference between a Module and a Class Module in the VBA development environment? If I remember correctly, new types of objects (classes) can only be defined in Class modules.

I am running out of printing paper trying to debug this...it has to be trivial, but I cannot figure it out--can you? Why am I not printing text, but just the initial string "howdy"? On the screen, when I open a file, the entire contents of the file is in fact being shown...so why can't I print it later? All of this code I am getting from a book (Chris Sells) and the net. The solution is to be found in the fact that stringbuilder is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
