Creating Tibco EAR files with Visual Studio

Hi All,

Can someone answer this for me? I don't seem have an luck getting an
easy answer...

I'm working with Tibco Designer (for Windows) to create EAR files and
find it quite cumbersome. Can I create EAR files from Visual Studio?
Is there any way to use .NET and C# to create Tibco compliant EAR
files?

Thanks!

Unless Tibco or a third party has created a handler for those file types
in VS.NET, I would say the answer is a no. Tibco is a consumer of .NET, not
the other way around, so it falls on them to create the appropriate
designers.

I have an old Visual Studio 2001 VB ASP.Net application; really all I have are the folders and files from the web server. How can I "hook" this back up to Visual Studio 2003 so I can update it? I copied the files and folders to the C:\inetpub\wwwroot directory and created a web application in IIS Manager. Now I can open the default page in IE. But I could not create a project with the same name in VS. I copied the files to the...

I've been creating some toy ASP.NET apps in an effort to understand the technology. I've something odd with regards to project/solution creation. If you create a new asp.net application, it appears that the project files get created in the URL specified Location field on the New Project dialog box. This makes sense to me. What is confusing is that the solution file gets created in a folder with the same name as the location folder (the...

I need to write some VB.NET objects that can be called from another environment (a Progress app, specifically). I'm having some difficulty getting this to work. My first assumption was that I should write a COM object. Is this a good approach? Or is there a better one? I wrote the new VB.NET object and included a COM Class object. All is fine and the system creates a TLB file and everything. It all works great on my development...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
