Is it possible to output to the console under a windows application project ?

Hi,

I'm using Vstudio 2005 and I did a Windows Application project where I
also want to read arguments from command line and output some text
when appropriate (for example, typing the correct command line
sintaxe)

Reading command line arguments is very easy : just change the 'static
void Main()' in Program.cs to 'static void Main(string[] args)' and
later access them from the string array args.

But when it comes to output anything to the command line window like
the following code
System.Console. WriteLine("text output");
it works only under Vstudio debug mode (we can see the output on the
VStudio output window) but if we run the executable from a command
line window, the text is never printed.

Is there a way to do this ?

Thanks

I have a scheduled job that uses different XSL templates to transform XML and save it to disk. I am having problems with the code below. The problem shows up on both my development machine (Windows XP Pro SP 1, .Net Framework 1.1) and on our production server (Windows 2K SP 4, .Net Framework 1.1). I have simplified the code and data to isolate the problem. When I use the xsl:strip-space (Line 12) declaration in conjunction with the xsl:sort...

Hi, I'm programming a WinForm application. I would like to enter commands that will send output that will help me to locate bugs in the future. I know that there is a way to send output by using the Console.Write command. The question is how can I see the outputs in the client machine ? Is there a specific programm to do it or Can I use the prompt window ?

Hi, I've got a simple vc++ program that basically just runs a daemon in the background and sends update messages to a logfile as it goes along. What I'd like to do is see these log messages also displayed in a window - either a dos window or a 'proper' window with a text field etc... I can easily create a window with a text field, but I can't find any way to attach it to my project so I can write to it from there (I'm looking to just...

Is is possible to do this? If it's possible, how Project A (A.exe) calls Project B to start (B.exe) application? I can't add a project reference in Project A to call Project B because

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
