Hey
Recently, I researched using C++ for game programming and here is what
I found:
C++ game developers spend a lot of their time debugging corrupted
memory. Few, if any, compilers offer completely safe modes.
Unsurprisingly, there is a very high failure rate among projects using
C++ for modern game development.

Hi,
Our development team is adding DB2 8.1 compatibility to our existing
application which currently supports SQLServer 2000. Our code is
written to take advantage of SQLServer's ability to allow query
string compares to be case insensitive. We have identified DB2 forces
all query string compares to be evaluated case sensitive. Since...

Trying to figure out Dictionary<> and using CaseInsensitive Comparer<> like
I did with normal Hashtable. The Hashtable can take a case insenstive
Comparer and a Case insensitive HashCode provider. It seems the HashCode
provider is lost or not needed in the Generic Dictionary anymore so
wondering if this is how you do the same:

Hello. I recently noticed that the Sort method of the .NET ArrayList class
does not behave as I expected. I expect 'A' < '_' < 'a' (as per their ascii
values) but what I got was the opposite. Simple code:
Dim y As New ArrayList
y.Add("Abc")
y.Add("abc")
y.Add("_bc")

I have an arraylist of string values. I would like to search the arraylist
to find the index of a particular string and I would like the search to be
case insensitive.
dim al as new arraylist
al.add("one")
al.add("two")
dim x as integer = al.indexof("ONE") I would like this to find the match
and return 0

Hi,
I want a const static std::set of strings which is case insensitive
for the values.
So I have the following which seems to work but something doesnt seem
right about it. Is there a better way or any gotcha's from my code
below.

Hi,
what is the most efficient way of doing a case insensitive comparison ?
I am trying to write a universal String class and I am stuck with the
case insensitive part :
TCHAR is a char in MultiByte String env (MBCS)
and wchar_t if UNICODE
#if defined(WIN32) || defined(UNDER_CE)

Okay, I THINK this is a PHP question...
I've been mucking with PHP for awhile now, but just recently I've been
poking at some ajax stuff, and I ran into something confusing; my
Queries were coming back case-sensitive.
I.e. WHERE user_name LIKE 'd%' would return "david" but not "Daryl"
That's weirding me out- I thought sql queries were...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
