The MSDN is a great source of information for programmers of .NET
applications, but not for the simple things!!!!
I have been searching for a few days now, my desk is filled with printouts

Some columns in the excel contact info spreadsheet correspond exactly with
the new database fields. Three columns contain a mishmash of info that will
need to be entered manually in the correct database fields. Maybe I could
make a form to use for this, to use to hold and view the information from
the three excel fields, as well as to copy and paste the info into the
correct database field? Or is there a better way?

I have an Access 2003 mdb which contains software records. I need to
sort on a particular type of software, and then identify and count how
many copies there are per each group of that type purchased on the same
date.
I have no trouble doing a query to extract the type (say MS Excel 2002,
for example). The trouble is, there could be 50 copies purchased on
date "x", 80 copies purchased on date "y", and 250 copies purchased on
date "z",...

I'm getting a Sysmte.IO.FileNotFoundException when executing the code
below.
It is straight from the example. This works on one machine, but not
the other. Other benign calls invoke the same misbehavior which as
ActiveWorkbook or Active Worksheet.

processes and check for processes of these applications by name etc., but it
will not be good enough, I need to use the exact process id.

Hey ... I've got about 500 Excel files with data stored in them in tabular
format ... (my coworker used excel as a database).
I want to write a vb6 program that will open up these files and get the info
from each row, and store it in an MS Access database, or perhaps a
comma-delimited file.
How can I get into an excel file with VB6? I have VB6 enterprise, and I've
installed the "excel" data access components.

of them is bugging me and I cannot see anything written on the web

I've been trying to import a spreadsheet from excel into access but the way it is downloaded from the site we use to review our performance some cells are like the following:
The cell shows - 35:34:00
But when you click into the cell the forumla/information behind it is - 01/01/1900 11:34:00.
The actual info I want is 35:34:00 to show into access but it shows the 01/01/1900 11:34:00 and I can't get it to format to show 35:34:00.
