Hi,
I have a question below.
In the Sql server 2000 I store some word documents.Then I get the data
from the database
through the asp code and display the word document in IE.The ContentType is
"application/msword".
My question is how to save the word document which is edited to the
database.

We have a web app which reads in a Word 2000 template (.dot), replaces some
fields, then saves it off to the filesystem. This all works fine. What we
would now like to do is to save the document directly to an SQL Server 2000
database. We already have the functionality to save files to the database.
What we are missing is the ability to output the word doc as a byte array
directly. We could save the document back to the filesystem as...

When I save a document in Word that I have transferred from VBA to
Word I notice that the "Save As" file name is for, instance, "December
4.doc". Since the date is the first field I print on the Word
document I guess it picks up this as a key.
How do I stipulate what the name of the document is to be once I want
to save it in Word?
" .SaveAs" actually saves the document and I want to view and edit the
document and manually save it.

After entering his comments, these are stored into the database as blob and when edit is clicked these blobs are retrieved from database.

I'm developing an addin for Word 2007 and I need to determine whether a user
saves a Word 2007 document in an older format (97-2003) after a save as is
done. The scenario is that the user starts out with a Word 2007 document,
saves that document to disk, then saves the same document in an older format
If the user saves a doc in an older format, I want to turn off certain
features of my add-in. I'm able to trap the save event easily...

Guys
Is there a way in C# to create a word object directly from a memory
stream without passing that to hard disk (file stream). I think it
doesn't makes sense to create a file just to read it again in to word
object. If some one has some brilliant idea please share.
In a nutshell this is what I'm currently doing
