I'm new to unicode and language issues. Basically I have a RichTextBox and
I'm filling it with a string that could be any number of different
languages. Sometimes the characters show up correctly - ie Chinese, Korean,
etc, but sometimes they just show up as junk. If I know what the language
it is supposed to be, is there any way I can select the proper codepage
and/or encoding? I'm using C# btw.
TIA

I have a RichTextBox populated with characters that include a
character of a script other than the default. When I try to paste a
Unicode character into the RichTextBox downstream of that character I
get a box. Obviously, the character I paste in isn't supported by the
script. I can look at the RTF of the RichTextBox and I can see the
script it's calling for. I know I can modify the RTF to remove the
call for the script but I would like to...

I need to paste an RTF non-ANSI string into a RichTextBox.
I know how to do that if the string were all ANSI characters.
But the text contains Unicode characters that have no ANSI equivalent. I
don't know how to include them.
Can you help?

All,
Can someone tell me what DataFormat from the clipboard is used when
pasting into a RichTextBox control by using Ctrl-V?
If I copy unicode text from a HTML document and paste into a
RichTextBox control, it pastes little squares even though the RTB's
font is set to "Arial Unicode MS". If I copy the unicode text from the
HTML, paste it into MS-Word, copy the MS-Word text, and paste it into
the RTB control it works fine. The...

remove the following ASCII characters from a string?

á é í ó ú ý Á É Í Ó Ú Ý
â ê î ô û Â Ê Î Ô Û
ã ñ õ Ã Ñ Õ
ä ë ï ö ü ÿ Ä Ë Ï Ö Ü Y o O æ Æ

I am having a display issue with the richtextbox when I add text any characters that appear after the unicode characters appear as though the font has been altered. I had to set the SelectionFront property on the TextChanged event in order to keep it from effecting every line afterwards.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I have a multiline RichTextBox that I use for data logging. I'm concerned
about how the AppendText method reacts when over time the maximum number of
characters have been added. Do the oldest characters it contains start
rolling off the top into the bit bucket, does it simply start silently
ignoring appends until some characters, are deleted, or does some kind of
exception get thrown? I've heard numerous opinions on what the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
