I have a Windows Service application that acts as if it's an SMTP server.
Outlook connects to this service, which is always running on the localhost.
This works fine most of the time.
However, sometimes it will no longer receive anything from Outlook.
Socket.Receive would block indefinitely (actually, Socket.Poll times out,
because that's what I'm using). Outlook sends it, because when I'm stepping

I'm building a server application which accepts socket connections and
I ran into some problems.
The socket is asynchronous and therefore uses the BeginXXX and EndXXX
methods in the Socket class to receive data. I also use a
ManualResetEvent to signal the main thread when data arrives.
Here is the code I'm running:

I wrote a small server/client app. I created a class for my customized
socket object using (synchronous) Sockets functions for both server
and client use.
When client connects to server, if It sends something to server,
everything works fine (i.e. server received what client sent). But if
I try to make server send anything, client receive 0 byte although
server send a correct bytes size.
Any idea ?

Hello,
I would like to be able to poll to throw an event when the Receive buffer
for a UDP client is almost full. Basically, given a Socket object what is the
best way to 1.) Check the current max buffer size and 2.) Check how much data
is now in that buffer. Or, how can I set an event or poll a method that will
tell me when a buffer is full and droping packets?

I have written an application for Receiving Stock Market Feed over a 2 Mbps Connection with Exchange with average incoming data of 800kbps.
The program works fine for sometime i.e. for an hour or so but then it throws SocketException Saying "An Operation on socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space ir because a queue was full".
