Hi all,
Today I downloaded and installed VS 2005 C# Express Edition (.NET
framework 2.0). I'm very pleased about this new product.
In my current application I'm using the WebBrowser control in a child
form. Two questions:
1) Does the user need IE to get this control working?
2) I cancel the closing of the child form in it's FormClosing event and

Dear Santa,
While it's true that I haven't been perfect this year, it's definitely
an improvement over previous years. All cats still have their own fur, no
hidden cat fur in this year's Thanksgiving green bean casserole and not even
one kid in the neighborhood has lost a toe this year!
With these things in mind, I'd like to ask for knowledge this Christmas.
Specifically, for knowledge about extending the webbrowser control in VB.Net...

Hello All,
I'm currently developing a free windows Scrabble (in french :)) application
that uses extensively the WebBrowser class of NET 2.0 for configuration, and
data browsing. It works 100% on my machine, with the WebBrowser Class, and
the Microsoft.MsHtml component. I can access all elements on the pages
through the events, I can change some parts. Everything is rendered with
XSLTs and changing directly the document through the ...

I have an application that uses the web browser component in VS 2005. I
know this is just a wrapper for the com component. What I need to do is
control wether or not the images on the navigated pages get displayed,
but I'm not sure how to do this.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
I have a webbrowser control embedded in a winform (vs2005) and use it
for previewing documents.
The form works perfectly in XP with office 2003
When using the same form in Vista with office 2007 the document opens
Word/excel etc and doesn´t allow the preview within the webbrowser
control.

Let me explain a little first off.
I have been using the webbrowser component for some time now on programs I have compiled. But I have recently run into a wall it seems.
All the programs I have compiled no longer work. The webbrowser control seems to have stopped working correctly.
All I get now is a Navigation to the web page has been canceled OR This program cannot display the web page.
However when I have VB6 open where I can edit...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
