Creating Custom Dialog boxes with CommonDialog

DMc
Hi,

I have been searching for tutorials and tips on how to create my own
Dialog box using the CommonDialog abstract class, and I have not been
able to find anything useful.
Can anyone have any example they would be willing to share or suggest a
decent tutorial?

Thanks

David

Hi David,

There seems to be some guidance here:

CommonDialog Class
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...mondialog.aspx

Note that there is a new version in the 3.0 framework that is located in a
different namespace. Actually, I'm not really sure whether it's a new
version or just a *different*, WPF version, but it turned up in the search
results on MSDN:

CommonDialog Class

Hello, I'm trying to print the content of a RichTextBox from my VB 6 app. What I want is that the CommonDialog shows up, the user selects a printer and the content of the RichTextBox prints to the selected printer. I'm not concerned about the text format. What I tried is something like this CommonDialog1.ShowPrinter

VS2k5 - C# .NET 2 I would like to create my own custom dialog that behaves like the FolderBrowserDialog. In other words, I would like to be able to go to the ToolBox, select my custom dialog and drop into my form designer. Then set some properties from within code before calling the showDialog method. I'm not trying to recreate the FolderBrowserDialog. Just my own custom dialog that captures some data. example:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
