Is there a way to move a column right or left in the query grid without rapidly scrolling too far when there are many columns in the query. This always drives me nuts. I can only display about 8 columns with my monitor and the resolution I like. When I need to move a column 10 or 15 positions, I end up clear at the left end or clear at the right end without being able to slow or stop the motion. Thanks.

In a Web Forms application I present users with a list of items - each of which the user is to assign to a grid. The grid is N rows by 3 columns. The users enter the desired target cell for each list item by specifying two integer values - one for the row number and the other for the column number of the target cell. When users submit the form for processing I need to validate that the following are all true: Please note that I can...

I need to display a series of controls (in my case, a custom control) in a grid-like fashion. This means this particular control would be repeated multiple times, arranged in a row/column format. It would also support scrolling, and fixed/scrollable headers/footers. Basically just like a grid control, but has the capability to use a custom control for each cell. I don't think the grid control (nor the True DB Grid .NET control that we...

Ok, my title may sound odd - let me explain what it means - It's easy to setup a grid to display 1 row of information per database record. Let's say this for example I have a grid display some customer information such as First Name, Last name and Customer ID on one row. But, what if there's a large comment for that customer, I could display it in a 4th column, but if it's large enough it's going to cause some undesired scrolling. Would...

I have a bool type I've built in a data grid that is acting very strange. The column shows up and if I click on the bool type it does not change the check mark. If I click and than click on another rows bool type the check mark shows up. Sometimes the check mark looks grayed out afterwards. FYI, I was successful doing the same thing in a different table and bool type column and copied the code. Here is a snippet of the code that sets up...

I have a pop-up form with a three columned Grid that has checkboxes in a Template Column in the first/left-most column. (The form is to allow users to select "Members" of a group, where they check or clear the boxes next to the potential members they want to add or remove.) The Object Data Source is as follows... <asp:ObjectDataSource ID="odsMembers" runat="server" SelectMethod="GetGroupMembersSelectList"...

Hi I have a generic list of data list <typelistcategory; listcategory = new list <type>; I also have a dropdown box that I have put into a template column of a gridview. I was able to populate the dropdown box ok when it was outside of the gridview for (int i = 0; i <= listcategory.Count - 1; i++) { ddl.Items.Add(listcategory.Description);

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
