TreeView only showing root node

Hi everyone

Has anyone idea what would cause a TreeViewControl to show only the
root node if I am using a bog-standard .sitemap file?

Many thanks

Darren

Found the answer - I had set up a couple of nodes as 'headings' that
don't have a URL.

This causes the TreeViewControl to ignore them... I've put a URL in and
they work fine. Would be nice to know if there is a work-around for
this though.

Regards

Darren

Hi I have changed the control in my form to a Treeview 6 instead of 5 and my code no longer works as before. Can anybody help me here. There are no errors, but I only end up with the first entry (parent) showing and nothing happens with my NodeClick events either. Here is the code to add branches to the tree (taken from somewhere and adapted):-

Hi There! I'm using VB.NET to create a TreeView application and unfortunately I could not find "Key" property in Node items of the TreeView. We used to have "Key" property in TreeView node object in VB6. What is the equivalent of "Key" property of TreeView node in VB.NET? Has the property name "Key" has been changed to something else? Or VB.NET does not support the "Key" property anymore? If so what are the alternatives?

Hello, I knew how to use the treeview under VB6. After migrating to .NET, well, I'm lost. I try to add a new node, either to the same level or as a child to a selected node in the treeview. However, either it only add it to the root level or it only add it on level below, doesn't matter what I select. And in some case, I just get an exception.

I have a treeview sourced from a SiteMap. I want to use 2 different CSS styles for the root level nodes. The topmost root node should not have a top border, all the other root nodes should have a top border. Is it possible to have more than 1 style at the same level (parent node) when using a SiteMap? I want it to appear something like this and I can only find a way to either have the border on all root nodes or none at all. In...

Hi, I'm currently working with the Treeview control in ASP .Net 2.0. The tree is filled dynamically based on data contained in a MySQL Database. Here is the exact behavior I want : 1 - User clicks on a node to expand it. 2 - Add a child node to the node clicked by the user saying the tree is loading that part. So here, I also need to expand the node clicked by

Hi everyone, I've gotten myself is bit of a mess where I'm loading a treeview. Basically I initialize the treeview control with a single root node we'll call it root. I do this by using the following syntax: Dim tNode as TreeNode = New TreeNode("root") tNode.name = "root" TreeView1.Nodes.Add(tNode) Now that I've gotten my root node set, I proceed to pass this node to another sub where some children are loaded to the node. The node is...

Hi. I am getting odd treeview results and hope you can help. I am parsing a string, "x/y/z", turning it into an array (that always seems to start with an empty string) and then using the elements of that array to populate a single tree. The first non-empty element is the root, the last is a file - everything in between is a folder.

Hello, I've created a treeview control that gives a folder browser view of a given computer. The treeview is populated using the following methods: Protected Sub treeDst_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles treeDst.Init Dim dirInfo As New DirectoryInfo("C:\") dstDir.Text = dirInfo.FullName

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
