I am trying to set some checks on my tab pages. I have many sets of tab
control pages with many controls on each page. I have got the code on the
button to check each control to make sure it has an amount. It then sets the
focus to that control if it does not have an amount. If I am on a different
tab page and do a check, it will set the focus, but it will not take me to
the tab page that has the control with the focus.
What code do I...

Hi all,
I have added browser control to a windows form. I am loading pages
having multiple frames. I have noticed that the focus in a text is not
maintained when the application is deactivated. I fixed this issue by
finding the active element in dom and then setting its focus. If the
active element is a frameelement then I get the document of the
frameelement and then get the activeelement of that document and set
the focus. This works...

Is it possible to change a control's focus at runtime? I'm sure you can....
I have a form with 2 textbox controls that cause postbacks. They are located
in the middle of my form.
When a postback occurs, no control has the focus. I would like it to be so
that the control that causes the postback keeps the focus. Since I have 2
controls that potentally need to retain focus, using Javascript in this case
is a PIA.

Just wondering if there is a way to give a control focus when the page loads, for example so the user could start typing in a text box before clicking on it?
Thanks,

Another newbie question I'm afraid. When I use the .Focus() or .Select()
methods to set the initial control that has focus on a form, try as I might I
cannot get the control to visually indicate that it has the focus (e.g. a
dotted outline around the caption of a RadioButton). The visible and enabled
properties are set to true, and I know that the desired control has the focus
(in this case one of two or more RadioButtons located in a...

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/system.windows.forms.control.focus(VS.80).aspx
this page says:
"Focus is a low-level method intended primarily for custom control
authors. Instead, application programmers should use the Select method
or the ActiveControl property for child controls, or the Activate
method for forms."
I am trying to give a Numeric UpDown control focus. Only Focus()
works. But this says to not use it.

I am working on an application that has a UI that supports multiuple
functions by means of a group of "plug ins". Each plugin is a class
library. Each plugin contains a User Control that defines the controls
for that plugin's main form. The UI has a PictureBox control that is
nothing but a contain to add the UserControl from the selected plugin,
so that when the user selects a plugin, the main form changes
appearance to the UserControl in...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
