Hi
I'm having a problem displaying attachments correctly. I have
messages with attachments stored on Exchange2000 and want to be able
to click a hyperlink in my project like in OWA and see an attachment.
Because it is stored on Exchange I have to set a username and password
so I do a GET request. The data I get back seems to still be encoded
- trying to open an excel file for example results in it trying to
open it but an excel...

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to use HttpWebRequest and
HttpWebResponse in a class in a Windows application? I've tried referencing
System and System.Web but there's still something missing.
Any assistance gratefully received.
Best,

Hi,
I've got an HttpWebResponse object, all working fine. I'm getting the
underlying stream and currently writing it to a file using the ReadToEnd()
method. All happy.
I want to do a bit of manipulation before writing this to the disk; can
anyone point me in the right direction of how to copy it to a byte array so
I can make my mods before writing it to the disk?

I thought I was doing a simple thing, here -- asking a server for a text
document, getting the first 150 lines, and then returning the lines. But
I keep getting timeout errors:
"Exception Details: System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed-out."
I read somewhere that generally these errors come from not closing a
HTTPWebResponse connection before opening another. But -- to my
knowledge -- I've shut down connections in every way I...

Greetings:
I need to download an executable and some other binary files (a C++
DLL) from a virtual directory in my WinForms application. No-Touch
Deployment manages my .NET code fine but auxilliary files such as these
must be downloaded "manually" in my code. My text-based files download
fine but I've ran into a problem downloading an .EXE. When it
downloads the file size is the same but it has been altered somehow
because a) the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
