Hello,
I am teaching a java course. When some of my students tried
to run a very simple java program that displays a JFrame, it
appeared that even though the program was compiled OK
on all machines in the lab (running windows 2000), a couple of
the machines did not display the Frame at all.
There wasn't any error message printed in the console window
where we started the program. They just didn't display the frame.

Greetings,
I've been able to cache Transformer objects in a Tomcat-based servlet
application to avoid unnecessary Transformer rebuilding, except for
certain ones on certain machines. I'm running Tomcat 4.1.27 under
Eclipse 2.1.0 using the Sysdeo Tomcat plugin using j2re1.4.1_02 under
Windows 2000 SP4.
I've digested this down to a small (albeit convoluted) sample that
exhibits the behavior reliably on my development workstation.

Having a problem installing a DB2 client on a machine running AIX
version 5.0. Client appeared to install one time succesfully, then
was uninstalled and a reinstall was attempted. For some reasons, it
does not complete the reinstall. See the status report from the GUI

I have written a 3D game engine on a win98SE platform, I get about 30 frames
per second. But on an winXP station I only get 3-1 frames perscond, it is

in utilizing this new deployment method is to reduce the maintenance
overhead as well as making it easier for my users to setup and run the

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
