Hi Al
How can I set the size of an mdi child form to fill the parent windows as if it was maximised without actually maximising the form as this causes all my subsequent child forms to be displayed maximised as well
I will still need the ability to minimise and restore but will disable the maximise option
Any ideas greatly appreciate

I need to implement dragging a borderless form by clicking/dragging on the
form surface. Using the "standard" approach (setting "CanMove" flag on
MouseDown, moving the form by the delta of the absolute mouse movement,
unsetting the "CanMove" flag on MouseUp) I am getting a lot of "jerky"
movement of the form and can't seem to get it smooth.
I also have noticed that MouseMove seems to fire even when there is no
motion of the mouse at all...

Been trying to figure out how to show borderless forms indside an MDI
Form, without showing the border at all.
Given that (in our case) only one such form needs to show at a time, we
were able to put a panel in the (entire) MDI client area and anchor it
all around. Then, Show() the panel before opening a form, and after the
Form.Show(), do a Panel.Hide().
Panel.BringToFront() and Panel.SendToBack() work just as well. We chose
Hide()...

Hi
I'm currently developping a skinnable form by using a borderless form
(Form.FormBorderStyle=None). Is it the right way to go in the first place?
if it is. Assuming that when there is no border to the form there is no
context menu when you right-click on your form in the start bar too (the one
with Restore, Move, Size, Close et al.)... How can I make this context menu
work again? Is there a way to tell the form to make it work even if...

Hi
I have been writing Access applications for some years now and have moved away from from the 'Switchboard' type of opening form to using a menubar accross the top of the screen and borderless form used as a 'background', which shows a graphic, revision status & contact details etc
The menu-bar works fine when clicked by a mouse, but beeps when using an Alt+ letter 'acceleration' key, unless another user-form is already open over the top...

I have a borderless form in C#.
The form has an icon specified in its properties and I also have the same icon specified for the project in the project properties.
When I had a border on the form, the icon was displayed in the task bar. But when I set the border to None, the icon no longer displays. The taskbar button only shows the text name of my program.
How can I get the icon to display in the taskbar for a borderless form?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
