I'm using window.open method in my script to open poup window. Recently
Internet Explorer users reported that the script crashes on their
machine with different runtime errors.
See the bug:
<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;888021>
The statement like
myPopup = window.open(args);
gives you runtime error and halts the script execution *if a 3rd party

Can anyone help please.
I need a small executable (either the VB code or the program itself will
do) to run within a batch file to activate a running 3rd party DOS
window (identified by the window name/title) and close it.
Thanks,

I want to create some tool windows like you see in the VS IDE. I created a
form and set the FormBorderStyle to "SizableToolWindow". However, after
several vain attempts I don't know how to proceed correctly from there. I'd
like this form to dock within another form just as it does in the IDE. Does
someone know how this is done?

I realize this sounds like a bizarre question, but... is it possible to
create an MFC window as a child of a non-MFC parent?
Here's the background. I'm trying to create an add-in for a product that was
built using an old Mac to Windows porting library called Mac2Win. This
library apparently has you develop on the Mac and then does an API
translation so that it compiles on Win32. Here's the problem:
- Main app creates a window with some...

I've been tasked to create a tool for a 3rd party application. I must create
a toolbar that is to be added to that application and when a button is
pressed, a popup window with functionality is to display. My problem is that
I have no idea how to create a Toolbar that is to be added to an existing
application.
The idea is to create a dll using VC++ 6.0, import that dll into the
application and the toolbar then be available to the user. ...

Suppose my application is running on a client machine, and they report an
intermittent problem. It only occurs after the program has been running for
a while, and then occasionally fails to perform correctly.
I would like to be able to come along with a program I have written (or a
third-party program), load it onto the client machine - without stopping the
problem application - and attach to the application to receive trace
information...

I have to send a user to a 3rd party site. Basically I am thinking I need a
linkbutton with an onclick event. The even handler would populate the
necessary values (userid, encryptedid, usergroup) and then I need to post
this information to a 3rd party site (in a new window).
From the user perspective:
User clicks on a hyperlink and a new window pops up that is the 3rd party
site and they don't have to log in.
Anybody know how to...

just like Visual Studio?
We need create a WPF application which is in C#. We want to our application
GUI look like the Visual Studio. It has the
-- Tree view like VS's Solution Explorer and Class View windows. It can be
hidden or floating.
-- Main window like the VS's editor window.
-- Error window like the VS's Debugger window.
-- Help window like the VS's help window.

Greetings,
To begin with we have an archetecture which has a manager Asssembly which
loads "Plug-in" assemblies using reflection, when a the UI prompts the
manager.
This loading of the assemblies and initialization is done in a seperate
thread from the UI, to keep the UI from being locked up.
Unfortuately 1 of the plug in assemblies provides a interface to a 3rd party

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
