I am using a div tag to make an element that contains some text. I
have specified overflow: auto; in my stylesheet. If I use
font-size/line-height to specify the font information I get a vertical
scrollbar in firefox/netscape (not IE) , even though the text I have
in the element does not exceed the bounds. The simple example below
casues this behaviour. How do I fix this?
<div style="overflow:auto; height:100px; width:100px;...

Hi,
I am struggling with a problem for sometimes. I need to display a table in
a html and if the height of the table goes beyond 200 px then a vertical
scrollbar should alone appear without any horizontal scroll bar. If the
height of the table is less than 200 px then no scroll bars should appear.
Here is the html below. I tried to wrap the table around a <div> tag but
its doesn't work out as the scroll bar appear close to the scroll bar...

I have a ListBox hold a list of my custom controls (it's UserControl based
control with a couple radio buttons and a checkbox). Everything works and
displays the way I expected it to. I can move through the list by dragging
the scroll bar and it works fine, but if I try to use the up/down scroll bar
buttons or page by clicking above or below the scroll thumb button the list
does not scroll.
Here's my OnDrawItem for the ListBox:

Hi,
I'm using the CheckBoxList control in ASP.NET for Web development. This
checkboxlist is bound by the database. If we have more items for this
checkbox list, it takes space on the page. I want to have vertical scroll
bar (like CheckedListBox in Window development) to save space. Can we do
that in ASP.NET ?
Please give me your suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

Hi ppl,
My owner draw list box controls do not "refresh" old selected items when a
new selection is made. This means that as you click to make selections, the
previously selected items stay highlighted along with the new ones too. It
draws correctly when I minimize the window and then maximise it again, but I
just don't seem to be getting a "DrawItem" event for switching of an item
from Selected to NotSelected! Any ideas???

The text is drawn top to bottom. Is there a way to have the text drawn

This is just a wierd one... I am trying to draw the sub items in the
drawitem event of the list view in owner drawn mode (because of documented
W32 rendering bugs) instead of in two seperate items drawitem and
drawsubitems... but when I run this code in the drawitems
For Each subItm As ListViewItem.ListViewSubItem In _tn.SubItems
' If subItm..ColumnIndex <0 Then
'If (e.State And Windows.Forms.ListViewItemStates.Selected) = 1 Then

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
