Did you application add the node? If so, just keep track of the node
you're adding.

Hi Steve,

I agree with Patrick. The TreeView class itself doesn't track the node that
is last added to the tree. In this case, I have 2 options to achieve this.

1. Like Patrick suggested, if your code added the node to the tree, you
have to keep tracking the node on your own. (Just keep the reference to
that node)
2. Derive from the TreeView and add this function. This might be a little
more complicated.

If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.

Hi All, Here I am facing a performance problem with the TreeView Node renaming. I am displaying a hierarchy Data in a treeview in my Windows C# Application. My tree view represents an hierarchical view of Parent Nodes and projects where in a projectnode can be added to any ParentNode and hence we may have a project node added to 100 Parent nodes. In this one, I have an operation of Renaming a Project Node. So whenever I am doing the...

I would like to remember the state of the nodes after the treeview gets disposed, but not necessarily after the app terminates so I don't need a disk file. I was thinking about using the tag property, but I am already using it, so then I though about making a custom treeiew using inheritance and adding another tag type property? Any clues? kevin

When PopulateOnDemand is true, the treeview event handler for the TreeNodePopulate event gets the TreeNodeEventArgs as a parameter. The TreeNodeEventArgs contains the tree node to be populated, and child nodes can be added to it. Why is the Parent of the node contained in TreeNodeEventArgs always equal to nothing? I'm not talking about the root node, but about nodes which have been added

Hi, I have an application that has a tag hierarchy that is pulled from the database and displayed in a treeview. I want to enable the user to add nodes (tags) to this treeview at runtime and give them any names. E.g. After "Add tag" button is clicked, the treeview has an empty node added at a specific location and the name can be given by the user. Is it possible?

I have a TreeView control. When a user clicks on a node, it must change color. I did: TreeView1.SelectedNode.ForeColor = colors.Blue; However, it must change the other nodes color to black, if they are in blue. How to do this?

Hi All I've got a treeview with checkboxes. I want the user to be able to toggle the checkbox by click on the checkbox OR by clicking on the node text. So I've added an afterselect event handler to get the selected node and change the .Checked property of the selected node as appropriate, which works to change the .Checked status when the user FIRST clicks on the text of a particular node.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
