Hello,
Is there a way to declare imports so that they don't have to be declared
both in Master Page.vb and the Content Page.vb?
For example, I have the following in the Master Page.vb
Imports System
Imports System.Web
Imports System.Web.UI
Imports System.Web.UI.WebControls
Imports System.Data

hi, All
I am working on a CAD related project using VB.net and MSAccess.
It has a 'master.mdb' which populates a datagrid whenever a user opens a NEW
project.
what i want is that when a user modifes the datagrid the changes should NOT
be updated in the master.mdb
instead a new 'project.mdb' should be created. ie; each project should have
its own mdb file.
Now, i dont know which approach should i take ie; shall i create a copy of

In ASP.NET 1.1, I had a class library with a bunch of base classes for all
my projects. One of the base class is a base page class. In .NET 2.0, how
can I compile a master page into a separate DLL? If I select class library
project type in VS 2005, it doesn't compile the code in the master page code
front file correctly. If I create a web project, it doesn't result in a
single DLL like before. How can I get around this issue?

Hi, all:
I have a problem with the inclusion of .js files in mu .aspx pages when
using Master Pages. I try to explain it. If I make a web project without
master pages I simply put in the head tag on each page the reference to the
..js file I want to use. Because I want client side includes I make the
reference with <script> tag, for example:
<head runat=server>
<script src="/javascript/test.js" />
</head>

I have setup a public variable in the Master Page "code-behind-file". Now I
would like to set that value from the UserControl, but I can't seem to find a
way to do this. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm basically trying to set it up
so that I can keep the User infor (userid, ect) in the Masterpage so that
other pages can access it. Thanks for any ideas.

Hey all,
I'm building out my first project using asp.net v2.0 master pages. It seems
that when you use master pages and try to reference document.body.scrollTop
it allways = zero/0. The same code works in a regular .htm file.
Has anyone else seen this?
Anyone know how to get the body.scrollTop property using masterpages.
Thanks for any help
Andy

Hi
I've just recently upgraded to VS2005 and started using/learning about the
Master Pages.
I'd like to know if it is possible to have separate web app projects use the
master page(s) from their "parent" site.
E.g.:
Main site at http://localhost/mainsite/

Hi,
I have done a fair amount of style editing inline in ASP. I'm now
using VS 2005 with a standard web project (not Web Application
Project). This is my first foray into CSS in a style sheet and also my
first true attempt at using master pages. I tried setting up a style
sheet with a simple setting to float an image to the right and it had
no effect on the image.
Then, I tried putting the style code in my ASPX file as such,

Hi I am a newbie using nAnt for .net 2.0. As such I have not come
across this bug before, and I would be happy of any help that you may
be able to provide.
In order to help I have included the nant file which is causing the
problem, the object code that is not being built and the error message
which is being produced.
The weird thing is that VS.net builds without a problem. And the
intellisense within the object WorkQueue knows that...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
