I have a very serious problem which really needs to be solved.
We had a huge number of projects in 2002 that we recently converted to
VS.NET 2003. The conversion was smooth and all is working well.
How-ever when we make any change to a form and save the form using VS.NET
2003, it reorganizes all form elements and the width / height of text boxes
get changed, making it look very different from the way it looked before.
The problem...

Hi All,
I just wonder if in C#, I can develop a user defined control that can call
its parent function which is not yet developed. For example, how do I make
my user control call a to-be-developed-function cmdOkay_Click() function as
described below.
1. Create an user control that contains an OK button as below
Public Class MyButton:System.Windows.Form.UserControl

Hi.
We have developed a .NET web service. The service executes a SQL on the SQL
server. The first call of the webservice takes very long but the other calls
dont.
Why is that and how can we speed that up?

Hi,
I've been struggling with this today, I'm developing a DotNet2.0 website in C# that needs to call a long running data query. Obviously this is a good candidate for an Asynchronous call, so the page can carry on rendering whilst the call is taking place and also returning the ASP.NET worker thread to service another page request (for scalability). I have developed a very basic asynchronous object (for testing, that reproduces the same...

Hi,
I have an web site application developed in ASP .NET 2.0. This
application consumes a COM dll (which needs to be registered in the
server- regsvr32 utility) for a functionality. The whole setup works
fine in the test system running Windows 2000 and IIS 5.0 with .NET
Framework 2.0 (Obvious enuf!!! )
Although the whole setup fails in the production system which is
running Windows 2003 server with IIS 6.0.

Hi,
I have written couple of projects which include several crystal reports
in VS.net 2003
(VB.Net) and company would like to move to VS 2005. What
does it take to convert to Visual Studio.Net 2005? Can the 2003 project
just
be opened up in 2005? Will that convert it. The interface for 2005 very
different from 2003. I got the VS 2005 professional edition - can 2003

wow... I think I'm in a trouble now.
My boss is a web programmer.
She said, the client asked her to develop a " dot net C" application.
So, she bought Microsoft visualstudio .NET 2003
and managed to develop a " DOT NET " application.
What she did is, in the Microsoft visualstudio .NET 2003,
made a new MFC project,

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
