I am having a problem restricting write access to tables in my database.
In my database I have a table called, for the sake of argument, 'TableX'.
In my SQL Server Logins, I have set up a login for 'Domain Users' using NT
authentication, and a login called 'FullTableX', using SQL Server
authentication.
I have added two users to my database relating to the above logins.

Hi,
I'm trying to get a very simple task to work. Using the users login name
(gained from IE) I want to get their full name from AD (Win 2k and 2003 AD
domain).
I'm using this ASP code on the IIS server:

My boss asked me to build a program to create a report
with logon/logoff events for all users within our windows
domain. I'm using .Net to do so and decided to have a
program running on the Domain Controler to listen to all
new events and send them to a database. This last part I

Hi all,
I've done some sniffing around but apart from one post in this
newsgroup haven't been able to find much on this topic.
We have recently moved (well, quite a while ago but that's by-the-by)
from an NT domain to an AD domain. One of our SQL Servers is still
joined to the NT domain and, since this domain is soon to be
decommissioned, I need to join this SQL Server to the AD domain.

Hi all,
I must be going blind because i can not these options anywhere.
We have a 2005 SQL Server running, what will become a live database
asap. This is running currently within a domain. Unfortunately the
users of the database currently automatically log in using their domain
username. How can this be blocked, so that they have to use a sa style
login. (Is this setup on the ODBC driver end?).

Hi,
I am looking to find a way to get currently logged in user's object GUID
without querying ActiveDirectory. For example, when i log in to my
laptop from home, I'm not on the office network so i can't reach AD but
I'm sure i still can get my AD's objectGUID, as the profile is cached
locally.
Any ideas?

I would like to keep track of users when they are 'on'. On Session_Start I
can write a DB record about them, but there does not seem to be session
variable information during the Session_end event which I could use to
update the record that they are logged out. This would also be nice to limit
multiple logins.
Is there a preferred way to track users login / logout /session time and
multiple logins ?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
