array <Byte>^ to unsigned char*

I've two functions. One is managed and receives an array, and the other
is unmanaged and receives a pointer, just like this
class A
{
int Foo(unsigned char* m){};
...
}

ref class B
{
int Boo(array< Byte >^ n){};
...
}

Is there anyway to call the function Foo from Boo passing n directly?

Yes. Get a pin_ptr<Bytetha t references the first byte of n and pass it to
Foo

using namespace System;

struct A
{
int Foo(unsigned char* m)
{
return *m;
}
};

ref class B
{
A* m_pA;
int Boo(array< Byte >^ n)
{
pin_ptr<unsigne d charpn = &n[0];
return m_pA->Foo(pn);
}
};

Can someone tell me what this ^ means? I'm still using the C# 1.x
compiler (occasionally 2.x) and I only know ^ as the exclusive-or
operator.

This questsion was misposted - it's about C++/CLI, where the ^ operator is
used to derefence a "tracking pointer". It's roughly analogous to the '.'
in C# between an object reference and a member name.

Hi, I have replaced my BYTE* by a vector<BYTE> and before I used to do : void CCardRecord::GetRecData(int nOffset, int nDataSize, CString& csValue) { BYTE *pTmp = NULL; pTmp = new BYTE; memset(pTmp, 0, nDataSize + 1); //memcpy(pTmp, &m_pData, nDataSize);

I am interested in converting sets of 4 bytes to floats in C++. I have a library that reads image data and returns the data as an array of unsigned chars. The image data is stored as 4-byte floats. How can I convert the sets of 4 bytes to floats? Thanks, Greg Book

I have a requirement in the C# app to find if a byte exists as part of byte array and take decision based on that. I came across few of two ways to do that. Use the basic byte Array and use for loop to find the existence of the byte i am looking for (Or) Use some thing like List<byte> byteList and then "byteList.Contains((byte)byteVar)" .

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
