error in configSections

I'm getting "Exception in configuration section handler" when I start my web
program and its indicating the opening tag of a custom configSection in my
web.config. The relevant parts of the web.config looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<configuratio n>
<configSections >
<section name="MySetting s"
type="My.Librar ies.SystemFrame work.Applicatio nConfiguration,
My.Libraries.Sy stemFramework, Version=3.0.0.0 , Culture=neutral ,
PublicKeyToken= 6ec4e223307c027 2" />
</configSections>

<MySettings>
<add key="SystemFram ework.Applicati on.Name" value="My Application" />
<add key="SystemFram ework.Applicati on.Id" value="35"/>
</MySettings>
</configuration>

I can't find any errors in the web.config. Has anybody seen anything like
this before?

Thanks

I have seen the posts on various places on the internet about .NET framework mismatch issues and I don't think that is my problem. ; ) When I execute the following C++.NET code: String *ipAddress = S""; IDictionary *server_config = dynamic_cast<IDictionary*>(ConfigurationSettings::GetConfig("ServerAddress") ); ipAddress = dynamic_cast<String*>(server_config->get_Item(S"IP"));

Hi all, Will appreciate if someone can help me with this problem. I am using VS 2003 on Win2000, sp 4. 2GB RAM. Session data is stored on DB on another machine in network. Can connect to the DB (no problem with that). I try to save DB connection string in web.config file, as described in MSDN 'Declaring and Accessing Section Groups' article. I think this is optimal way/place to store global variables accessible from any part of...

I am writing a client for an HTTPS web service using WSE 1.0 but I always get an error like "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send." Sometimes the error "occured on a receive". Looking around, I find http://weblogs.asp.net/jan/archive/2004/05/08/128394.aspx ("Solving "The underlying connection was closed" when using WSE"), that sets KeepAlive to false, but it doesn't work for me since when I get to...

Hi, Some users on our domain can run our WCF application no problem. Some get an unhandled exception error re: SOAP security negotiation. I'm wanting the service to not be secure.. I just want anyone logged into our company domain to be able to run the app. Can someone please tell me what tag I need added to which of these files to make this error go away? Thanks very much in advance, Ron

I have the following configSections in my web.config. Again, it's not clear to me what this is doing because I can delete the entire section and the application compiles and runs fine. Why do I need this? <configSections> <sectionGroup name="system.web.extensions" type="System.Web.Configuration.SystemWebExtensionsSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <sectionGroup...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
