If it's not supported by the CF, then you will have to use a
combination of Integer division and Mod to obtain the same result.
Thanks Chris for the quick response. If it's not supported by the CF, then you will have to use a combination of Integer division and Mod to obtain the same result.
In my line:
System.Math.Div Rem(this.BlockC ounter, 2, out Result);
Can you help me with the solution?
Thanks,
MM
Is this correct?
double Result;
// System.Math.Div Rem(this.BlockC ounter, 2, out Result);
Result = (this.BlockCoun ter % 2);
Many thanks,

The mod operator (%) will give you the remainder, but for the quotient
portion of it you would have to also do a divide operation. You have
to do both to emulate the behavior of the DivRem method since that
method returns both a quotient and a remainder. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I am using the evaluation version of CE.NET 4.1.
I had also installed the release version of the Compact
Framework.
I uninstalled the CE.NET 4.1, and then realized I needed
it again and reinstalled it. I also installed all the
QFEs. When I tried to reinstall the release Compact
Framework, I get a message that it is already installed
and the installation aborted.

Hi, I have Visual Studio 2002 Enterprise Architecture Edition. I was
wondering if anyone has any information on how I can develop applications
for .Net Compact Framework using this IDE. I've heard Visual Studio 2003
ships with the functionality for .Net Compact Framework development. But
right now I have Visual Studio 2002. Is there anything I can do? (Other than
the obvious upgrade to 2003).
I've heard some beta version of .Net Compact...

Hello,
Here is an update.
There is no differences with the function
System.Math.Log10 under any operating system.
The problem is with the casting of the datatype double
and value Infinite to datatype int.

Hi
Using 2003 - targeting the compact framework (c#), but would like to do most
development using the full.net (manually leaving out stuff not in the
compact framework).
Q. Trying to find a way of converting a project to have builds for both
compact and full. Project properties doesn't seem to help

Our .Net application calls a web method of aplpication 2 that resides on
their Apache server. When I as a developer C#, Studios 2003, make the call to
their web method from my desktop, I receive no exceptions - completes fine.
Their web service url was added as a web reference to our project with no
problem. The following was generated as part of the proxy class:

Hello everyone,
I have used Visual Studio 2005 to create a C# .Net Compact Framework 1.0
application on Pocket Pc 2003 device. But when building the application,
there are some errors dealing with System.Data can not find.
I have solved this issue by manually add System.Data from References of
project, and it is working now. I am wondering whether we should manually add
reference to System.Data in an application based on .Net Compact...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
