How can I access the windows that are not the current mainwindow. For
instance with Internet Explorer (iexplore) one can create several
browser windows within the same "instance" of iexplore.
I can for get the window title of the main window (with MainWindowTitle
property), but I have not managed to get the window title for any of
the other windows of that iexplore instance. I have noticed that I can
change what window is classified as the mainWindow by giving another
iexplore window focus (by activating it with the mouse). Maybe this
could be a hint on how to do what I want. Maybe I could iterate through
the collection of iexplore windows and pick the information I want from
them all. But how do I access such a collection, there should be one.
In windows task manager they get window names for all these windows of
iexplorer in the "Applicatio ns tab", so it can be done. Maybe it is
just not available in the dotnet API? 0 1097 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I'm having a problem on windows (both 2000 and XP) with a multi-threaded
tkinter gui application. The problem appears to be a deadlock condition
when a child thread pops up a
Pmw dialog window in the context of a main window. The problem does not
occur on HPUX or Linux. The following simple example code illustrates
the problem and the work around
I've come up with; However, I'd like, very much, to get rid of the kludgy
work around....

Hi,
I want to find all the windows created by a particular
process object and close them. Process class only
returns handle to Mainwindow and not other windows.
Furthermore closing mainwindow does not close all other
windows.
Can someone give pointers?
TIA,
Vinay

Hi,
My application has 3 windows, each of them is separate form. One of
them (called MainWindow) is visible in task bar, others are not. I'd like
them to behave in the following:
1) when main window gets focus (or is "restored"), others should be brought
to the front
2) when main window is minimized, others should also be minimized (hidden?)
I thought about handling "Activated" event in MainWindow, but I don't really

I think QMainWindow.setCentralWidget() is what you are looking for.
The eric4 IDE probably covers most things you'll ever need.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
