I want to create about 4 forms with the same dimensions and background
colours, similar to the forms one has to traverse when installing
various software packages.
I'm using Visual Studio and C++ (changing to C# soon) and can create
separate forms, but I really just want to clone the first one, have the
user select different options on each form and navigate between them via
the PREV-NEXT-OKAY-CANCEL buttons on the bottom of the form.

Hi there,
I have a problem related with validation of a container control, containing other container controls.
Scenario: I have a dialog based Windows form, containing a group control (which is a container also). The group control contains multiple other simple controls - 2 text boxes and 3 combo boxes. The form has 2 buttons representing the well-known OK and Cancel buttons.
What I am trying to do: I handle Validating event for all...

Hello
I am developing a utility to be reused in other programs. It
I have an object of type Control (a TextBox, ComboBox, etc.) that other
programmers use it in applications. they may set some of properties or
assign event handlers. I need to be able to clone the manipulated control at
runtime.
I could use the Clone method of some objects (like Font, Style, String,

Hello
It seems that I should implement ICloneable to implement my own clone
object. the critical point for me is to make a control object based on
another control object that all of its event handlers are set like the old
one. Is there a way to do this job?
For example, is there a way to use EventInfo object to get all event
handlers of the old control in runtime and set my new cloned control events
to the event handlers of the old...

Hello
i have made a custom control. i have placed a panel on it. I want this
panel to behave just like the normal panel. The problem i was having is
that the panel on my custom control doesnt accept other controls. The
control i drag drop on it becomes the child of my custom control's
parent form and not the child of my custom control. Then i added this
line
""
before my custom control class (i dont know what this line does). Now

I am trying to create a custom container control that will only ever contain
a specific type of control.
At design time, when a control of a different type is added to the container
I would like to wrap the control in the proper control type - which is also
a container.
At design time I want to be able to turn this :
<my:container>
<asp:textbox />

Hi all
I have a MDI Container Form, with one label control
on the Background of this container form.
When I now open a child form, this form is behind
the label ... and this looks ugly ... :-))
When I set the label with "SendToBack", it completely disapears.
I also tried to set the child form like "BringToFront" but this also does
not help.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
