Hi...
I'm working on a tool for editing text resources for a family of software
product my company produces.
These text resources are found in a SQL Server database, in a table called
"Resource" with the following structure :
Resource{,en,fr,es}
Yes.. these are the only languages supported actually.
A couple of rows in that table would look like this :

Is there a way to load an XML schema into a dataset from a resource or other
object? I am using ReadXmlSchema(filename) and that works fine.
However, I have many XSD files that I would rather not have to distribute
with the application.
I would like to be able to use a typed dataset since the schema is defined
in advance.
Is this possible?
thanks

Hi,
Im trying to add a dataset to the app_code directory using vs2005 \
SQL2005 beta 2. When I run through the wizard I select the option to
auto create new Stored Procedures (Select, update, delete, insert
commands) after already specifying a very basic select command that
consists of two fields.
All procedures are created fine and i'm able to save the xsd file.
Then I create a new gridview in which i use the xsd file object as my

Is it me or has anyone noticed that F1 is really dumb in VS2005. Since VB3 I
have been able to click F1 on an ambiguous method in code and the IDE
automatically determines the type based on the code itself and shows the
right help topic. This even worked more or less in VS2003.
But in VS2005, if I highlight the "Host" method below and hit F1 I get a
help topic on the "UriBuilder.Host" property. Huh????? That's dumb.
Dim o as New...

I am so disappointed in VS2005. The "little things" wrong with it are just
mind-boggling. Boy, I'll be so mad if I have to wait a year for the ".1"
release that fixes all the bugs in this obvious beta product.
This (received today) is just one of the many examples of why ASP.NET 2.0
was totally not ready for prime time.
http://www.kbalertz.com/Feedback_911717.aspx The "workaround" they cite
isn't a workaround AT ALL. They're actually...

This question has been posted before, but without any response so therefore
I'm trying once more.
I'm trying to embed .resource files into a Windows application in VS2005,
and then compile and run the program from VS2005. This does not work because
the debugger seems not find the resource files, and I keep getting the
following error:
"MissingManifestResourceException:

I'm just learning ASP.NET 2.0 and everything I find on Datasets including
the MSPress book I bought go way to far for what I need. I do not need to
bind a datasource. My source will be a text file that I will read line by
line.
All I want to do is create a dataset and add records to it manualy that I
will read from a text file. To start I'm just trying to add a single
record. I then want to bind that dataset to a gridview.
To...

Hello list,
I have built a project in VS2005 which includes a Web Service Web Site. On
this server there is a Database. I have used the DataSet designer to link to
this database and VS2005 has created Table Adapters which connect to the
database and return the table data. My DataSet is called DatabaseDataSet. My
WebMethod for returning data from the server database is as follows -
public DataSet GetUserJobs(string id)

The DataSet designer in Visual Studio 2005 is still pointing to the
old database.
I have done this before and it worked without a hitch. The problem is
that I have moved the database and solution on to a different
development box from last time i did this. The other database is no
longer accessible and checked the connection string in the appconfig
is correct by pointing to the new location.
The changes are not reflected in the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
