I've created a simple calculator program using VB.NET -> Smart Device, and successfully deployed to my PDA. When I delete the program from my PDA, it lists the program as "My Company Calculator". How do I set the company name in this environment? An option to change the company name doesn't exist in any of the dialogs that I have found. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I'd like to know if there's a way in C# to get the name of the person and company to which the operating system (Windows 98, XP, 2k, etc) is licences to. Is there a way to do it with managed code or I'd have to use API? Please not that I am not looking to get the currently logged user name but the name and company to which the OS is registered to.

Hi all, we have a very peculiar problem that occurs in just one of our two win2003 servers running IIS6. Details: server 1: win2003 server standard SP1 (the one with the problem) server 2: win2003 server R2 standard SP1 (the one that works fine) The two servers are hosted by the same company but on two different networks, and we access them via IP address (no domain names registered for them, this is also for security reasons). The two...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
