Pass parameter/set property using reflection

I am using reflection to open a form in an assembly. The form contains a
picture box.

What I want to do is not just open the form usinf reflection but pass an
image location/filename to the form to display.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in Advance

Using reflection, is there a way to know that a method or property parameter is a paramarray? There doesn't seem to exist a property like 'IsParamArray' in reflection.parameterinfo. Thanks in advance.

Let's assume that we have a database on some SQL server (let it be MS SQL Server) and that we want to execute some parameterized query as a pass.through query. How can we pass parameters to the server ? Is it possible to use parameters in pass-through queries ? An additional question: Is it possible to connect to a database on MySQL or PostgreSQL using ADO ? Is it possible to execute pass-through queries with parameters, using ADO...

Hello, I'm a bit surprised at the amount of boilerplate code required to do standard data access in .NET and was looking for a way to improve matters. In Classic ASP, I used to have a common function that was included in all pages that took an SQL query and returned a disconnected recordset. This meant that data access could be achieved in a single line. I would like to do something similar in ASP.NET. I know I could just duplicate...

Sorry for the stupid question, I know, but sometimes is necessary starts from the basic. I don't know how to pass the result of a method generated from a DAL class to a BL class returning the results as it is. I mean, for instance, something like this. namespace DAL {

I want to something as simple as: UserControl uctTemp; But the type will be passed in to the function (which will be an existing user control like "uctMyUserControl1") So, how can I pass in the string "uctMyUserControl1" and then somehow dim an instance of it?

Hello, I have been struggling with the SetValue method when trying to use indexed items. I can't figure out what needs to be done to create the "index As Object()" parameter. Juding from the lack of examples out there on the net I am sure many people would love to see how this mysterious parameter works in a real example. Anyone? Thanks in advance, Doug

Keywords: scope resolution, passing classes between parent and child forms, parameter constructor method, normal constructor, default constructor, forward reference, sharing classes between forms. Here is a newbie mistake that I found myself doing (as a newbie), and that even a master programmer, the guru of this forum, Jon Skeet, missed! (He knows this I'm sure, but just didn't think this was my problem; LOL, I am needling him) If...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
