How do I save a file?

I have data I am reading from a database.

I want to take that data, parse it, and put it in between html tags.

When I have that row completed in between all the tags, then I want to
save that file as an .htm.

I'm not asking anyone to write code. I was hoping someone would point
me in the right direction or where I should start on the file save
part. I can read a database and display the contents. I just don't
know how to get the data, put it in a stream of some sort and then save
that to a file.

I guess it is kind of like a merge utility. Thank you for any help.

Hello ne***********@g mail.com,

You can create HTML manually, but creating header of html to the body, that
create tags where you put your data (iteracthing thoruhg the dataSet or dataReader
for each record).

Another solution is to get XML data from DataSet and then use XSLT to transform
data to the HTML
I reckomend you the second way, because it's very flexible

If you want to save a file you can use System.IO.Strea mWriter for that.
It allows you to create a file on disk and save strings to it, either
by the Write or WriteLine methods.

If you like to put some data from a database on an HTML page I suggest
you use ASP.NET. You can virtually create it without any line of code.

Goodluck!

I think this can be done through ActiveX Controls, but i dont know how to create ActiveX controls in .NET??

I would like to save a web page to a file and have the hyperlinks work when I bring the file back up. If the web page has a hyperlink like the following <a href="OurWeb/News/abcFile.htm">, after saving the file and showing it on the screen, and you try to click on the link, it will try to go to C:\OurWeb\News\abcFile.htm instead of www.MyWebSite.com/OurWeb/News/abcFile.htm. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
