Hi,
I'm trying to integrate Microsoft's Configuration Management
Application Block (CMAB), and have run into a bit of trouble. Would
appreciate any input anybody could provide at this point. I simply
keep running into exceptions when trying to integrate the block into
my app. Here's what I've done thus far:
1. Installed the CMAB
2. Started a new C# project.

I was a Java developer so I'm used to using property files as a means to keep
configuration settings for my apps. I'm wondering what options are there with

Some settings I want to include are like a root directory for a target
program on the user's machine my app uses, which they would be prompted to

I was able to compile (Debug) and reference an Configuration Block project
for my primary application "AppPrimary.exe". When I add a strong name file
to the Configuration Block project and recompile the projects my
"AppPrimary.exe" no longer works correctly.
I've noticed that when AppPrimary.exe runs with the Non-Strong-Named version
of the Config Block the following has the proper values (i.e.

I try to use the configuration application block from the Enterprise Library
and have done prework as specified from one of the hands-on labs from that
package. When trying to get configuration settings using the
ConfigurationManager.GetConfiguration my application, which is a windows

in the past and this worked fine. But now I have the following situation and

I want to write a windows service that stores its settings in a xml file
using the configuration block. And I want to write a windows forms

I have started to use the new Enterprise Library (Jan 06) and have set up a
skeleton project using the DAAB. This all seems to work fine apart from when
I come to secure the app.config file via encryption.
I have encrypted the connectionsettings block in the config file but
obviously when I come to deploy the solution to other PC's, it cannot read
the block as it doesn't have the keys to decrypt.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
