Mini dump created but empty

VS 2005. I have compiled my dlls/exes in Release mode and also setting
Debug Info="full"unde r Project - Properties - Build - select "Release"
under "Configurat ion" drop down - the Advanced button at the bottom.
When I compile, I get all pdbs for each dll/exe. We are running Win
XP. At the client, my app then crashes, and a dump is created on the
user machine where the app runs, but it is completely empty. Of
course, I would like to get a mini dump to generate so that I can do
post mortem analysis with the pdbs I created. I thought the mini dumps
are always generate on WinXP when a managed app errors out with an
unhandled exception. Any info - am I missing a .NET or XP setting I
need to enable on the user machine...? Of course, on my developer
in-house machine I get the mini dumps created. thx

Comrades, During our current discussion of the fate of functional constructs in python, someone brought up Guido's bull on the matter: http://www.artima.com/weblogs/viewpost.jsp?thread=98196 He says he's going to dispose of map, filter, reduce and lambda. He's going to give us product, any and all, though, which is nice of him.

First I created a function that selected the next available pin code from a table of pre-defined pin codes: CREATE FUNCTION "public"."get_next_pin_code" () RETURNS varchar AS' DECLARE my_pin_code VARCHAR; BEGIN ... /* this is the pincode we just fetched */ RETURN (my_pin_code);

A while ago I had some help from here to make a batch file that would dump my db. Everything was working just fine until 2 days ago and I just found out. I checked my backup folder and found that starting on 4/25/2006 the dump files are empty and only shows a few lines of comments or something instead of creating a normal dump as it had been doing just fine for the last few weeks. Hi all, I have a mac mini running maocosx 10.5 leopard I want to deploy a django project on. My backend is MySQL, and I have it running as a 64- bit app. Of course, apache2 is also running as 64-bit. MySQLdb installs with the usual warnings after applying the various patches I found here and there. These patches consist of altering _mysql.c and site.cfg.

Hi, I just wrote a mini C# lab for myself, I think it may be useful for others, so I shared it on my blog. If you often need to write only serveral lines of code and don't want to waste time on waiting for Visual Studio startup, maybe you will be interested in it. http://blog.darkthread.net/blogs/darkthreadtw/archive/2008/05/27/mini-csharp-lab.aspx

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
