Where in the registry does the following goes?

Does anyone know where in the registry the following goes?
WriteProfileStr ing("windows", "Device", DeviceLine)

Or where this comes from?

GetProfileStrin g("PrinterPorts ", vbNullString, "", ProfileString,
Len(ProfileStri ng))

Or where this goes?

In Start/Printer and Faxes/File/Server Properties/Forms/Create a new form
I've been searching the registry trying to find matches so I can figure it
out but there are so many matches that I can be conclusive.
Thanks for any info

Hi,

According to MSDN this is stored in win.ini file and it's just for
compatibility with 16 bits windows

maybe more details can help to give you a better answer.

I don't believe they are in that file. I've looked.
I believe the functions gets mapped to the registry.

thanks

Please see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911272 I thought for sure that I would be able to find the hotfix in my MSDN subscription, but can't anywhere. Does anyone know where it may be hiding? I don't want to use a support incident just to get a file. Thanks

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
