}

[System.Componen tModel.Bindable (true), Browsable(true) , Category

public override string Text

I am developing a Windows Forms application in VB.NET that will use .NET remoting to access the data tier classes. A very simple way I have come up with is by creating typed (.xsd) datasets. For example dsParts.xsd and including that in the data tier. I then will create a class that looks like this Public Class CPart Inherits dsParts

Hi, I have a user control with a textBox on it. The requirement is to bind the UserControl in the app, like UserControl.DataBindings.Add(...), but in fact internally this binding should flow thru to the text box, ie. should work like if it was UserControl.TextBox.DataBindings.Add(...) I spent the whole day trying to figure out, tried diff things like exposing "Text" property of text box, overriding UserControl.DataBindings, but nothing...

All, myself and another developer have been staring blankly at a screen for the past 48 hours and are wondering just what stunningly obvious thing we are missing. We are trying to load up 2 or more user controls dynamically by adding to a placeholder defined in page_load. I've included the sample code for how we are accessing one. The user controls are not rocket science - just a few text boxes with public accessor properties. We've...

Hi there, I searched carefully through the web before finally deciding to post this message, because I could not find a solution for my problem. Hopefully someone will have a hint or explanation for me! I apologize for the length of this posting, but I wanted to make sure that I get an answer other than "Hey man, just use LoadControl!", because this is not what I want. The Task: Isolate a collection of web forms which are created as

In it's simplest form, assume that I have created a usercontrol, WSToolBarButton that contains a button. I would like to eventually create copies of WSToolBarButton dynamically at run time based on some initialization information obtained elsewhere. Basically, I'm going to create my own dynamic toolbar where the toolbarbuttons can change. I'm not using the VB toolbar because of limitations in changing things like backcolor (I can't get...

Hi, I am trying to populate a list control that is bound to a data table but the display member needs to come from a different data table. I have two list controls in C#, one displaying available categories and one displaying selected categories. In the database these are represented in two tables, the available category table has an ID and a Name. The other table is a category links table that has an ID, Category_ID and a Book_ID.

Hi all, I'm having major problems with a userControl which contains a datagrid. My problem concerns data binding. The Page_Load() procedure calls the DataBind procedure to bind the datagrid to a DataSet. If i include an if statement to prevent the data binding from occuring on a page PostBack in the following way:

I have an application that was originally built with ASP.Net 1.1. We finally got permission to migrate to 2.0. Due to time constraints we migrated the web projects to 2.0 web application projects to minimize required changes initially. I am stuck on a problem using a data grid. I have a usercontrol that has a DataGrid on it. The datagrid has an item template that loads another common user control for every row. I am getting

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
