I'm developing a small utility for personal use using VS2003 and .NET
1.1.
I use MessageBox.Show () often. Yesterday, it worked fine. Today it
no longer works. I get a MessageBox with no text, and a button with
no text. If I use the full blown Show() and tell it caption, icon,
buttonns, etc... I get the caption, icon, and buttons, but the text
and button text are still missing. Has anyone else had this happen.
The only difference between yesterday and today is that last night I
ran windows update and went ahead and installed the .NET Framework 2.0
on this machine; but this shouldn't have any effect on .NET 1.1 apps.

I'm currently evaluating VC.NET as the new platform for the company I work

The TextBox.Text is a String... MessageBox takes a LPCSTR (plain single byte

I use in my application MessageBox.Show and it works perfectly when I run
this application on my local computer (http://localhost). When I diployed
this application on the server, however, it does not work. It does not give
me even an error message, but the screen is just freezed (it is running open
the page). What are the requirements for the MessageBox.Show to work ? I

I hope somebody can show me why I need to have a messagebox to get "random"
numbers in my example. If I comment out the message box call that is in
RollAbility() the numbers generated are not random , otherwise it works
fine. I really would like to get rid of the messagebox call.

I have a VB.NET windows application that uses MDI form. When I try to delete a datagrid row from one of the MDI children forms, I use a MessageBox YesNo confirmation, which, after confirmed, minimizes the MDI form. Why is this happening and how can I prevent it?
Important thing to say is, if I use just "OK" MessageBox, it DOES NOT minimize the MDI parent.
