How to fill the parameters when using databinding

I'm swicthing van Delphi to VS2005 with c#.
I'm missing the quite easy datamodule from delphi and can't find some
general examples on how most people are using the xsd datasources.
As from some books i'm using a datasource that i'm binding to a label field.
When using a normal query everything works fine, but now i would like to
fill a parameter with a given value.
But i can't find a way to 'adress' the parameter fields of the tableadapter
from the form on witch the label is.

The tableadapter has attrubutes for storing the parameter values, but when
an instance of that tableadapter is on the form there are no parameters to
be filled.

I suppose i'm missing the picture but could somebody help me out here ??

I have tried several different methods of getting a datagrid to fill with information. Below is the code I'm now using. When viewed in the browser and the text box filled with a parameter value (i.e. CA for Calif), the datagrids header is displayed when the button is clicked, but no data is displayed. I used SQL Profiler and can see that the query comes across with the parameter, and if I take that query string and use it exactly in Query...

Im using a set combobox (ComboBox1) to provide a selection of records from a database table. I have a typed dataset (DataSet1) that contains the typed datatable (DataTable1) that the combobox is bound to. The datatable in the dataset is filled using the typed tableadapter (TableAdapter1). DataTable consists of the typical primary key and value fields. Here is the designer generated code for ComboBox1: this.ComboBox1.DataSource =...

Hello I'm displaying report on a gridview through object data source which gets some parameters from ddl controls. Using sql profiler I've found out that even when controls are not yet set (by default they are set to empty string value, so I guess they should be interpreted as nulls) query (with empty parameters) is sent to sql server (it doesn't return anything). It causes unnecessary server load and slows down each postback, until all...

Hi I've got an update business object method which takes about 80 parameters. I'm getting the 'could not find a non-generic method' error. I know that the ObjectDataSource UpdateParameters matches the business object method signiture. I ran the code below to discover that the InputParameters is in fact a list of bound values in my FormView control, i.e. not the UpdateParameters list. protected void ObjectDataSource_Updating(object...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
