Still having problems with my Web Setup App.
I deleted the registry keys for my installer because it
refused to uninstall when I ran the uninstaller, and
having the previus version on my machine prevented me from
installing a newer version.
Now I'm getting a new error:
"This advertised application will not be installed because
it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change

Hi -
I have developed a .NET WinForms application and will be looking to write an
installer shortly. I'm a bit concerned regarding security.
If the application is installed to the local harddisk, then I don't see a
problem as that will inherit full trust; but if the user installs the
application to a network drive then I envisage that the default rights will
prevent the application from running.

"Although we do support the ASP.NET Starter Kits, we do not do the
installation for you. You can run the installation file locally, then
upload the kit. You will not be able to compile on the server. You will be
able to set your .NET virtual directories through our web based control
panel. This same support is available for DotNetNuke. We support the

I have a project where the GUI is in VB.NET, the libraries
in unmanaged C++ which is wrapped in managed C++ and
compiled as DLL.
The application runs fine on Windows 2000 with VC++
development environment installed, but fails to load on
any Windows 2000 system with only the .NET Framework
(tried .NET Framework SDK too) installed.
Tried suggestions given in "Mixed DLL Loading Problem"

to an Windows 98/Me/2000/XP machine which donot have .NET Framework
installed. Now I want to package my application and the framework into a
single exe file. So that when the installation of my application starts it
