I'm a brand new Python programmer, so please point me in the right

I would like to open an existing MS Excel spreadsheet and extract
information from specific worksheets and cells.
I'm not really sure how to get started with this process.
I ran the COM Makepy utility from my PythonWin (IDE from ActiveSTate),

Hi All,
I am using Access 2000 to generate over 40 Excel charts and pivot tables
using early binding to the Excel 9.0 object library. I am finding that if I
show the Excel object while processing the charts, the whole process
completes in around 2 minutes. However if I hide the Excel object the same
process takes around 27 minutes to complete. I have played around with
screen updating and this makes no real difference to the time. Does...

Heres and interesting problem:
I have a VB.NET program that creates reports via. Word Automation. This all
works fine. What I want to do as part of this report generation process is
to embed a graph/chart within the report, once again from VB.NET. I have
chosen to use Excel.Chart.8. So, to embed I do this from VB.NET:
Dim theNewShape As InlineShape = m_Document.InlineShapes.AddOLEObject
(ClassType:="Excel.Chart", _

Apologies in advance for this newbie question!
I have an Access form with an unbound embedded Excel chart on it(Called, OLEUnbound39) (Done on Access form by Insert > Object > Microsoft excel chart)
I would like to place some records in to the underliing sheet and display the chart of this data using VBA.
I use CopyFromRecordset. The code runs and the records are copied to the sheet, but apparently after this copy and before the next line...

I have a VB6 application that has an OLE container with an embedded Excel
chart. Our office updated to Excel 2007 and now although the app works the
charts looks like crap. Since the app is fairly large my goal is to keep the
devlopement in VB6 but am open to any ideas or suggestions. What i want to
do is:
1. Keep my app in VB6 and find a workaround for the crappy looking charts.
the charts now look very blocky and the grid lines and...

I am creating a series of charts on a grid, 2 wide by four long. eg:
chart_1 chart_2
chart_3 chart_4
chart_5 chart_6
chart_7 chart_8
I want to have VBA code to replace an existing chart, in the same location, with a new chart. i.e. I want to be able to replace a chart in position i with a new chart, in position i.
The problem is, I'm not sure how to reference a chart by its location. The ChartObjects index does not refer to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
