ClickOnce Shows XML manifest file instead of Launching

I am using Visual Studio 2005 and ClickOnce to deploy a WinForm application.
ClickOnce, publishes the application fine. In a Virtual PC, it downloads the
..NET framework correctly, but whenever the framework is finished installing
it simply shows the manifest for the application (an xml file) instead of
installing it. How do I get around this? Thanks in advance.

I have a SmartClient/ClickOnce app that needs to be deployed to a whole bunch of sites. The app.config would have to be different for each site. I am trying to do this in an automated manner (by calling MSBuild). So MSBuild builds and publishes the app - in the process it takes all the files and creates a hash. The problem is that the hash would be different for every site (since app.config is different). Is there a utility (or an...

Hello Gurus, Is it possible to schedule a task to run an application deployed using ClickOnce? The executable changes location with each update.. and if i were to run the executable directly, it's not considered as a network deployed application and it's not able to use any of the update features programatically.. any ideas? workarounds? thank you,

Hello, I would like to use ClickOne but we need to stagger our update process. Currently we are shipping cd's when it is time for an update. We stagger the release in waves of 250 each so our clients do not overwhelm our support staff with loading questions and new feature questions. ClickOnce will elininate the CD cost and the loading questions but that still does not take care of the calls for new feature questions. I would like to...

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it: I have an assembly into which I have linked a manifest file as a Win32 resource. This is necessary since I want to use a class in this assembly with registration-free COM interop from a Win32 application. I also want to use this assembly with a .Net application that I want to deploy using ClickOnce. However when I try to install the application from the deployment location I get...

Hi, We have developed a VSTO 2005 Excel application and we would like to leverage ClickOnce deployment mechanism for distribution of this application. How can we do that? I was digging in MSDN for VSTO & ClickOnce documentation and did not find anything. I've noticed that there is an option to publish the project, but when I do that and then run the application from Web it throws us security errors like:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
