Have you looked at the WebBrowser Control? It ships with Visual Studio (since

Are we going backwards ? (please excuse my spelling...) In my opinion an absolute YES ! Take a look at what we are doing ! we create TAGS, things like <H1> etc. and although there are tools (dreamweaver and the like), they are all at the lowest level of programming (something like assembly as oposed to C++ etc.). These tools create "brain-dead" developers that constantly have to plough through tons of tags to do the simplest thing. ...

Anyone know of a good HTML Rendering control? I need a control that will render and display HTML in a Windows form. It doesn't need to pull down HTML pages from the Web - I'll feed it all the HTML it needs to display. I've already spent way too much time trying to get the Microsoft WebBrowser control to work, and I have too many other things to work on to waste any more time on it. If you know of any third-party HTML Renderers out there,...

Hi I have many short HTML files stored in a binary stream storage to display descriptions for various items in application. HTML would be display inside application using some .NET control or COM control (like Microsoft WebBrowser). Clicking related information would for example open new form in application and display some...

In an ASCX, I have a Literal control into which I inject a at runtime. litInjectedContent.Text = dataClass.GetHTMLSnippetFromDB(someID); This works great as long as the contains just client-side HTML, CSS, etc. What I want to do is somehow insert a *server control* into the , then set the server control's properties at runtime.

I have an aspx page with a data grid, some textboxes, and an update button. This page also has one html input element with type=file (not inside the data grid and runat=server). The update button will verify the information that has been entered and updates the data base if the data is correct. Update will throw an exception if the data is not validate based on some given rules. I also have a custom error handling page to show the...

Dear all, I am new in asp.net and prepare myself for exam I still have dificulties to understand the difference between server control and HTML control. Okey things whcih are clear are the fact that for server control component , code is running on the server side. But if I take as example a Label. I place on a webform an HTM label control and a WebForm label control, I could see that properties are different for

Hai all, I am trying to create dropdown calendar control with HTML input control by writing JavaScript. But while executing I am getting the error as "Error on Page" on the status bar of the browser. I come from a classic asp background, but have started using ASP.NET about 12 months ago, but I'm still not sure about the pros and cons of using controls v HTML spat out from code as you would in classic asp. I have also been using System.Web.UI.ICallbackEventHandler to send data to the server and back without using controls. What I want to know is the pros and cons of each. To me you never have quite the freedom using a control as you...

I have HTML formatted documents stored in a database. I want to display them on a web page. However I see there is no "browser control" in asp (as there is in windows forms). This sounds kind of stupid but is there a control that I can load HTML into to display in a web page? Thanks, Gary

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
