C# Webbrowser vs MSHTML rendering

I've been having a number of headaches trying to use the Webbrowser
control and MSHTML to generate off screen images of webpages. I've got
it working on a good number of sites, except the following example:

if a webpage's source code includes a div like this:

<div
style="position :absolute;top:1 17px;left:130px ;width:380px;he ight:166px;"
class="GalleryW indow">
<p><h1>Photogra phy Galleries</h1></p>
</div>

with the CSS class defined as such:

..GalleryWindow
{
border:1px solid black;
padding:5px;
background-color:white;
filter:alpha(op acity=60);
-moz-opacity:0.6;
opacity: 0.6;
}

The div and it's childern do not appear to get rendered by the MSHTML
IHTMLElementRen der object (using DrawToDC function). However they do
appear in the original Webbrowser cotnrol's client area. Am I missing a
setting somewhere?

I've got a WebBrowser control (AxBrowse - VCMAXB.DLL) and I'm having a few difficulties with it. Just looking for a few pointers, not whole solutions here. I've tried looking at the MSDN help files with little success. - When a new window is trying to pop up, how do I determine the target URL? How can I get the page to open in the current browser control? - When printing from the webbrowser control is there a way to ensure it prints...

Sorry for the cross post, but I'm not sure who is best placed to answer this one. This is the most bizarre behaviour of MSHTML and streams. I have a WebBrowser control that contains nothing but some default HTML. I want to copy the document and modify it before saving it to disk. So, I clone the document like this:

I recently had a need to be able to highlight selected text in a web browser control (working code is posted below). Attempts to access the modified html source through the webbrowser or the mshtml COM interface (see below), however, have failed and I resorted to inserting the changes into the file by the means shown... This method is not 100% successful because the innerHTML reported by the COM object is *different* from what is...

Hello All, I'm currently developing a free windows Scrabble (in french :)) application that uses extensively the WebBrowser class of NET 2.0 for configuration, and data browsing. It works 100% on my machine, with the WebBrowser Class, and the Microsoft.MsHtml component. I can access all elements on the pages through the events, I can change some parts. Everything is rendered with XSLTs and changing directly the document through the ...

Hi - This issue seems to have been kicking around since the dawn of time and no one appears to have come up with an answer. In short the MHT/MSHTML provides a method of archiving an HTML page into a single MIME encoded file that specifies all of the resources for a page in a single file. This makes a lot of sense as if you could pass one of these to the

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
