Hello Everyone,
I am after some help with the following:
I have a windows application that contains a list box and
two data grids. All three controls are binded to a dataset
that contains five tables, and three relations that I want
to take advantage of. Everything works fine however I want
to use the data grid table style editor to make it look
more presentable. Currently I have successfully done this

I need to display columns in a data grid based on 7 different queries. Now I
have 32 questions:
1. Is it possble to have 1 single data adapter with 7 queries & 1 data set
or do I need to have a separate data adapter & a separate data set for each
select query?
If thats possible then how?

I would like to read a text file (fixed length formaated) really fast and
store the data into an Access database (2003).
Using the streamreader and reading line by line, separating the line into
string just takes to long.
When I Import the file with access manually goes fast. But how to use this
fromout a C# programme
who has done this before and who can give met some answers

Friends,
I have have filled a datagrid (flexgrid from C1Components) with the content
of a textfile.
Now I would like to save the content to an access table.
I've tried the insert command I have tried to build up a data table en add
row to it and then update the table.
Where it takes less than a secon to read the textfile in the grid it takes a
couple of minute sto store the content of the grid into the table

I'm using a ComboBox, some Textboxes, and a DataGrid to represent a
many-to-many relationship between Person and Course. Each time that I change
the value in the ComboBox (which for now is the OID of Person), the
information of the person matching the selected OID is shown in the Textboxes
(Name, Address, id, etc) and the courses this person is taken are shown in a

Is there a way to carry data that I have already read from the datagrid from
page to page?
I am looking at my Datagrid that I page through and when the user says get
the next page, I have to go to the database to get the next page. Is there
a way to use the dataset to allow us to read back and forth in it instead of
going back to the database to get it?

After reading a tutorial and fiddling, I finally got this to work. I can
now put two tables created with a DataTable class into a DataRelation.
Phew! And it works!
Dim tblSliceInfo As New DataTable("SliceInfo")
Dim tblSliceRatings As New DataTable("SliceRatings")
'.... All the adding datacolumns, datarows, etc. goes here..
DatasetInit.Tables.Add(tblSliceInfo)

I need to build and display a huge data grid (roughly 5000x5000). (I know it
is difficult to view, but i need to do it anyway)
the immediate problem i am facing is that it takes a VERY long time to add
5000 columns. i created an array of DataGridViewTextBoxColumn and called

Hi all
Short version of my problem:
i have a Datagrid (Flexgrid from ComponentOne) with a Datatable as
source. I need to search a row in the datatable, using a primary key
column in the datatable, and then figure out wich row this currently
is in the Datagrid. This should probably be done using the currency
manager for speed reasons.
